IN
EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY
AS a 21st century learner,Information and Communication Technology also know as "ICT"that deals with in the use of different communication technology such as mobile phones, telephones and internet that responsible in locate, save, send and edit information. For the past 9 months learning this type of subject a lot of things running through my mind, questions that builds inside my head, that needs to be answer. I've learned the history and the origin how internet was created , the one who invent it, the different features of web and the terms that connects in dealing internet.It provides best opportunities to enhance perception, comprehension using ICT tools and way of communication. As a millennial learning this subject helps me to be fit
in to the new world that lives in technology, it widens the communication,
sharing of information, reaching our loves one away from us.
It is ironic that I used those type of social media but hence I didn’t know the real used and point way this websites builds and the effect that can easily change my life. In 17 years existing in this world I didn’t the internet treats and the 3 types of it that usually aims to destroy everything want you have, pretending that it cares but it only spy you and get all sensitive information you have. Knowing this thing keeps me save and the documents I have. One things, the most important I’ve learned in ICT is being safe online. People nowadays are obsession with social media , every action we take we post online, even your own
opinion and feeling about a certain issue,
without knowing the result after you post, it might destroy your
reputation online, people will judge you for what they see in you, even they
don’t know the real you.There are tips I learn to keep safe online and protect your reputation these are: always ask series of questions like would you want your parents or your future boss to see it? set your post to private, avoid using names that easily search engines to scan, don’t give or show your first name, last name, even your address to keep you safe from harm and mostly important always think twice before posting something online it will truly cost your life.
Learning this all lesson for 9 months I can say that my knowledge in ICT is wide and enhance my ability used this in my daily life. Right now I definitely using it, when our teacher suddenly gave us a performance task that we should build a website and put all her requirements inside, to be honest it wasn’t easy at first even I had those knowledge, I’m not really into this kind of thing but, Thankfully I used my knowledge about it and build my own. And also we create a clothes that design by things related into technology, which truly measure our creativity and resourceful to successfully made it.
I thankful that we encounter this subject even it is not easy for us to adjust and learn all things regarding this subject but still it is really helpful for us to be knowledgeable enough about the new technology we live for and not to be ignorant dealing with this things. Hopefully this is the start to fully expand my knowledge and enhance my skills using this.
