  EDSA DOS happens on 2001 during January 17 to 21, 2001. It was fueled after 11 prosecutors of the President Joseph Estrada walked out of the impeachment trial. As a result, the crowd in EDSA grew over the course of a few days through text brigades. 

 EDSA DOS is different because it was bloodless; nobody died. The purpose of the revolution was to ask President Estrada to resign because the people believed that he was guilty of plunder and therefore not fit to be president.

   Commentators describing it as "a defeat for due process of due to process of law", "mob rule".

   During this event happen many senators who allied to late President Estrada to block the evidence that he is one of the political corruption, it cause the conflict between the senator-judges due to the corruption acts.It leads to the Filipino citizen to protest against Estrada. 

  President Estrada was forced to step down. He was succeeded by his vice-president Gloria M. Arroyo. Some people thought that the nation became better and the economy improved when Arroyo became the president. Estrada’s supporters, on the other hand, were angered because they were thinking that the majority of Filipinos wanted Estrada to remain president.

 The EDSA DOS occurred due to the dissatisfaction of the people for being corrupt of Estrada.He dropped the resignation of the presidency, this caused major change . The supporters of Estrada created a riot by throwing rocks, burning cars, destroying police stations, hurting policemen and even news reporters. They failed in their endeavor to bring Estrada back to power. They, along with other prominent Estrada allies who persuaded them to march to Malacanang were accused of “rebellion”.
